As you know from reading past blog posts, I believe that in order for us to know how this absolutely stunning couple got here- to their engagement session- we should start with how they began. We should start with how they found each other and, in turn, fell in love.
Samantha and Alex’s love story began in the most unexpected yet perfectly fitting way—over a casual dinner in their college dining hall. It was August 25, 2018 (yes we have the receipts), just three days into their freshman year, when mutual friends introduced them. The moment Samantha noticed Alex’s prominent birthmark on his neck, her natural boldness took over. Without hesitation, she blurted out, “Wow, the third day and you already have a hickey on your neck?” That direct and playful comment set the tone for their dynamic from the very start.

So, let’s go back to the beginning: The night Jordan met Sam, New York City was buried under a thick blanket of snow. Haley and Michael’s winter Verona Park, NJ engagement session was worth the chill! They both love winter and we got lucky with having snow on the ground. These two fully embraced the engagement session and had so much fun chatting, playing in the snow and just enjoying their time together. I loved getting to know these two better during the session and it cracked me up that they are the same way about animals as I am… aka will point out any animal they see!! In fast we even saw a hawk which was very cool and Haley loved all the geese walking around. This summer wedding at Hotel Du Village was epic!! I got to assist my friend and mentor, Tori Kelner, on this colorful day filled with tradition and energy! The venue grounds are lush and full of these beautiful willow trees. Inside the venue feels like stepping into the perfectly maintained antique home. I love that they honored the building by keeping the dark wood accents, wall moulding and gorgeous floor tiles (If you know me I love antiques)!
Love knows no weather, and Sam and Jacob’s wedding day was a testament to that. A tropical storm threatened to dampen their spirits, but nothing could stop this couple and their guests from turning their special day into a celebration to remember. The day kicked off with an infectious energy as Sam and Jacob, surrounded by their closest friends, played music while preparing for the big moment. Sam’s Engagement ring was Jacob’s grandmother’s and Jacob’s wedding ring was custom-made by a friend. Adorned with a sun, mountain, and their wedding date, the ring was a symbol of their unique love story of being nomads traveling the world. They had their first look in the drizzling rain before taking photos with their wedding party and families. As the ceremony started Sam and Jacobs nerves melted away and they got to say “I Do”.
Mariana and Johns engagement session took place at the stunning marble ‘temple of music’ and Japanese garden at Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI. They came over bubbly and smiling-the session was instantly comfortable as we started. They danced, twirled and were playful together before getting some editorial photos on the steps and pillars of the temple.
Sam and Ed’s Fall Garret Mountain engagement session in Woodland Park, NJ was the perfect, slow paced session. We walked around to different points of the location while chatting and getting to know each other. They chose this location for their engagement session because Garret Mountain is where they had their first date – a full circle moment!
Raquel and Tucker’s fall engagement session at the Skylands Manor, Ringwood, NJ. The air was cool, the leaves were an array of colors as we romanticized life while they explored the estate, sat in the patio, and practiced the perfect dip! My favorite part of the session was handing over one of my cameras to the pair to take photos of each other – this is when I saw them loosen up, strut their stuff and really shine!
This Fall Sandy Hook Beach engagement session incorporated traditions, a special place and makes new memories for the couple! The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the couple, Manuela and Frank, showcased their playful relationship. The beach holds significance for them as they have made it a tradition to visit Sandy Hook Beach every January.
This gorgeous summer wedding day at Running Deer Golf Club was so special! Sydney and Juan are a whimsical and edgy mix. They did not disappoint with their attire for their wedding day!! Her gorgeous flowing dress (with removable sleeves) and his corduroy suit with the gold chain of a pocket watch across his vest. They are so true to them and this day was magic because of it
Desiree and Matt’s engagement session was full of love and romance!! From holding hands, literally rolling around and playfulness to the intimate vibe at the hotel bar- I could’ve photographed these two all day!!. Beacon New York is a very cute town and within five minutes we could go from the gorgeous views at Long Branch Park to the classy vibes of The Roundhouse.
